WB Employment Ltd (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for Production Operative Metal Shop – Welder to work for our client based in Exeter on temporary to permanent basis.

Pay rate: up to £13.19 per hour DOE (Experience will need to be assessed)

Experience of MIG and TIG welding preferably alongside experience of using stud welders and spot welders. Experience of working with thin gauge material and be able to weld to a high standard and achieve fume tight seam welds.

Experience in working with decorative materials such as brass and stainless steel would be an advantage.

Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:15, Friday 07:30 – 13:30

Job Role: Reporting directly to the area team leader the purpose of the role is to manufacture components to drawing and within the tolerances stated within the metal shop environment.

The Candidate:

• Ability to read technical drawings and work within tolerances stated
• Ability to competently use measuring equipment
• Flexibility to carry out a wide-ranging role and be willing to train across various skilled operations
• Able to follow process controls and accurately complete paperwork to support this
• Forklift License (High Reach/Counterbalance) is preferred but not essential
• Heavy product needs to be handled
• Proactive
• Team player with good communication skills.
